School Supplies Update
Through COVID relief funds, Autauga County Schools have been able to purchase school supplies for all students in the district following the pandemic. These generic supply kits were an unexpected and great use of additional federal funding, but those funds are going away as the federal response to the pandemic ends. In response to these changes, student-specific school supplies are now the responsibility of the student’s family again, beginning in the 2023-2024 school year. School administrators are sensitive to the impact this change may have on family budgets and are thoroughly reviewing teacher supply lists to ensure only necessary items are requested for the upcoming school year. To offset this expense, district leadership is working to decrease the school or classroom supply requests with budget allocations available to each school, allowing you to focus on those specific items your child needs to be successful in the classroom.
