Autauga County Schools values the many families that live in our community who have ties to the military. Approximately 10% of our student body has military ties. As a district, we understand that military youth go through unique circumstances and situations, and we want every military family to know we are here to help. Our military liaison, Dr. Rachel Surles, works with school administration and military program partners to meet the unique needs of our military families and their students.
Special Considerations for Military Families: Enrolling Before Arrival
For military members who are not living in Autauga County but intend to move into Autauga County within 90 days, we allow temporary enrollment if documentation is provided at the time of enrollment. The following is required:
Military orders of the service member parent or an official letter from the service member’s command indicating such relocation.
Documentation indicating a permanent address within the school district, such as a deed, signed lease, or ratified sales contract
