Superintendent Update: January 2026

Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed some rest and relaxation during the holidays. As we begin the spring semester, we are excited to build on the momentum that our students and staff members created during the first half of the school year. From academic achievements and extracurricular successes to the daily dedication of our teachers and staff, our schools continue to push our students to be successful in their own ways.

Before the holidays, I was able to share a mid-year district update as the guest speaker of the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce’s membership luncheon. I’m always proud to talk about our district because I wholeheartedly believe we have the best people in the business - everyone from students and parents to faculty & staff and community members. Our success is a direct testament to the support we’re fortunate to have, and one of the reasons it’s the pleasure of a lifetime to serve in this role in my hometown.

Ensuring safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environments is essential. We continue to invest in social-emotional learning, student support services, and positive school culture initiatives to help all students thrive academically and personally. This month, we dedicated time to professional learning opportunities centered on instructional best practices, student engagement, and well-being. Maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment and supporting our teachers and staff remain my top priorities. By aligning professional development with our strategic priorities and classroom needs, we are strengthening our people, improving our processes, and ultimately enhancing outcomes for all students.

Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to serve you! Here’s to a productive and healthy start to 2026.
